Methodology

Commission has zero effect on how plans are ranked.

When you buy a plan through one of our links, the provider pays us a small commission. That payment has no bearing on the score the plan got or the position it ended up in. Commission rates aren't part of the ranking math, and they aren't sitting in the dataset the site loads. As far as the ranking is concerned, they don't exist.

Each plan gets scored on its own attributes: price per gigabyte (the heaviest weight), total data, validity, local carrier count, 5G support, the per-day price, and whether the plan can be topped up.

By default, the ranking leans on what most travellers actually use to pick a plan: price per GB, then data, then validity. On every destination page there's a row of sliders, one per factor. Drag them to whatever matters to you, and the ranking recomputes in your browser, right away, without a page reload.

Prices come off each provider's site once a week, in whatever currency they quote in. We then convert to your local currency using the ECB's daily reference rates. Unlimited plans don't get a per-GB price, since the math doesn't say anything useful there. Their rank comes from validity instead, plus daily price and 5G support.
